Data Drives The Digital Economy
Through Data Foundations we help organisations to share data with other organisations ethically and fairly, whilst protecting an individual’s rights. Data trapped in silos is unlocked and released for the benefit of economies, societies, and the wider world.
Demonstrate how they protect privacy, comply with applicable laws, and have a common set of ethical principles
Build brand values, trust and confidence in all activities undertaken within the data sharing and usage
Help reduce costs in data sharing, management and usage
Provide a mechanism for independent oversight and a common repeatable framework for use with other initiatives, therefore further reducing overheads
The NEED for GREATER DATA SHARING
We live in a time of exponential data creation yet little of the data collected is analysed and an even smaller amount, recycled. Even less is combined with other organisation’s data to create valuable insights, or reduce duplication of effort. This is because most data sharing carries risks which are difficult to mitigate. The biggest of which is how to protect the data being provided.
Yet the demand for data is increasing and it has now surpassed other commodities in value. At the same time the cost to the environment in not sharing and reusing data, not only to gain valuable insights which could benefit humankind, but also in storing multiple versions and copies of the same data, is considerable. Unless we can change this in a safe and equitable way, this is only going to become more of a challenge.
What we do
Guardian Stability provides a number of different products and services which reduce friction and facilitate independent oversight of data. Providers and users of data sets can responsibly and safely share information, within a standard, repeatable framework through using a code of conduct and a legal structure, which allows for representation from data subjects.

DATA SHARING STRATEGIES
Organisations who are working on their collaborative data strategies now are planning for future success. This involves compliance and strong ethical data sharing arrangements.
Large Scale Data sharing in the pandemic
From our work we know that the containment of the Coronavirus requires people to share their medical data safely, and we also know that there are many different applications being developed to do this. Any digital solution put in place now must protect people’s rights, be mindful of how data is processed, and work within the law. Particularly if it involves large scale tracking and monitoring. We would like to see prioritisation given to the data governance model in any of the new applications or solutions As a forethought not an afterthought.
