TechUK AI Ethics Summit: London 11 December

On 11 December 2019 techUK and partners will bring together academics, philosophers, lawyers, technology experts, policymakers and other key stakeholders at techUK’s annual Digital Ethics Summit.

This year’s Summit will take stock and reflect on developments during 2019 and ask whether digital ethics can provide real answers to tough, challenging questions. Given the growing scepticism, from some, as to whether digital ethics is really the solution to the issues being raised about the impact of advanced technologies the Summit will examine whether enough progress and action are being made. Through keynote presentations and panel breakout sessions, the Summit will showcase practical examples of ethics in action and explore the extent to which ethics is having a real impact and delivering genuine benefits to people's everyday lives.

The Summit will again be organised by techUK in partnership with the Wellcome Trust, Digital Catapult, Royal Society, Open Data Institute, the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, the Digital Ethics Lab, Royal Statistical Society, The British Academy, Ada Lovelace Institute, Ethical AI In Education and The Alan Turing Institute.
